F. Reid Shippen was born in Milwaukee, grew up in New Jersey, and now calls Nashville home. He is a multiple Grammy-award winning mixer, producer and engineer, as well as an entrepreneur, consultant and business owner with interests including real estate, publishing, and manufacturing. His engineering and production credits include a wide range of artists such as Ingrid Michaelson, India.Arie, Sam Hunt, Cage the Elephant, Kenny Chesney, Gloria Gaynor, Eric Church, Colony House, One Republic and Dierks Bentley. He has served as co-chair of the Producers & Engineers wing of NARAS, can be seen on a variety of podcasts, and really hates bios.
Matt McVaney - or McV, as many like to call him- is a writer/producer based out of Nashville, TN. He is currently signed to Song House, a publishing venture owned by producer/engineer/mixer, F. Reid Shippen.
McV has worked with a number of pop and country artists, including Jessie James Decker, Chase Rice, Kane Brown, Cali Rodi, Lauren Alaina, Seth Alley, Jimmie Allen, and Sammy Arriaga. He is most well-known for co-writing Kane Brown’s viral hit “ Used To Love You Sober” (iTunes #1 Country, #2 Overall) and Lauren Alaina’s latest Interscope single “Next Boyfriend.”
Haircuts for Humans is a non-profit event hosted by Republican Hair, Scout's Barbershop, and Lightning 100, to help raise funds to support education programs in East Nashville and South Nashville. All proceeds benefit the Martha O’Bryan Center and their mission to support East Nashville educational opportunities to empower children, youth, and adults in poverty.
